
Pair of Flashes Earn MAC Men’s Basketball Postseason Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio- Senior Antonio Williams and junior Danny Pippen were each recognized on Wednesday with the announcement of the Mid-American Conference all-league squads. Williams earned a spot on the All-MAC Second Team and All-Defensive team, while Pippen was an All-MAC Honorable Mention selection.
A 6-foot guard, Williams is known for his highlight-reel dunks over the season, and playing aggressively on both ends of the floor. He led the Flashes with 14.4 points per game and dished out 117 assists (6th in MAC). He reached double-figures in scoring in 22 of his 29 games played, including six 20-point performances. Williams also swiped 37 steals. He scored a career-high 34 points against Buffalo this season and has scored 769 points in his career.
A 6-foot-9 forward, Pippen averaged 14.3 points per game and led the team averaging 7.1 rebounds. Pippen recorded seven double-doubles on the season while scoring in double-figures in 24 of his 30 games played, including four 20-point performances. He scored a career-high 21 points against Buffalo while tying a single-game record of seven blocks against Detroit Mercy. Pippen led the team with 47 blocks (3rd in MAC) and averaged 1.52 blocks per game.
Kent State will return to action on Thursday, March 12 at 9 p.m. in Cleveland's Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse when it continues post-season play in the 2020 MAC Tournament Quarterfinals against No. 3 Ball State.
