
Flashes Ahead of Three Top 25 Opponents After Day One of Quail Valley Invitational

VERO BEACH, FLO. – The Golden Flashes men's golf team surged into the top three during day one of the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational on Sunday, and sit ahead of three top-25 teams heading into the final round on Monday.
The Flashes carded a team score of 558, shooting 18 under par, second only to Toledo (-19) and #11 Kansas (-28).
KSU was led by Chris Vandette, who shot nine under par, launching himself into fifth place after the first day of the event.
Cade Breitenstine and Josh Gilkison weren't far behind, shooting five and four under par to wrap up the second round tied for 12th and 16th respectively.
The third and final round will be played on Monday morning with a shotgun start scheduled for 8:00 AM.
