
Strong Round Concludes Fall Women’s Golf Schedule

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Kent State had four competitors shoot below par on Monday as the women's golf concluded the fall portion of its schedule at the Jim West Challenge.
The Golden Flashes posted a seven-under, 281 team score, which was tied for the fifth best of the day. Kent State placed 11th overall with a 54-hole total of 871 (+7).
Senior Emily Price carded a 69 for the second round in a row to raise 10 spots up the leaderboard to 25th. Price finished with a one-under, 215.
Fifth-year student-athlete Chloe Salort was just one stroke behind on Monday, shooting a 70 to match her low round of the season. Junior Valentina Albertazzi and sophomore Mayka Hoogeboom each carded a 71 on the final 18. Freshman Jennifer Gu rounded out the lineup with a 73. Albertazzi (t-37th) and Salort (t-41st) joined Price with top-50 finishes.
Kent State will resume the season in 2022 at the UCF Challenge from Feb. 6-8.
