MAC Names Gilkison Men’s Golfer of the Week

CLEVELAND – For the second time this fall, Kent State graduate student Josh Gilkison has been named the Mid-American Conference Men's Golfer of the Week.

Gilkison claimed his second top-five finish in three tournaments, tying for fourth at the Fighting Irish Classic earlier this week. He carded a six-under, 204 over 54 holes, including nine birdies and an eagle. His 65 in the second round is tied for the lowest by a Golden Flash this season.

Kent State is back in action this weekend at the Purdue Fall Invitational. Two rounds will be played on Monday, Oct. 11 and the final 18 holes are scheduled or Tuesday, Oct. 12.
