Mills Signs Pair On National Signing Day

KENT, OHIO- Kent State men's golf, under the direction of head coach Jon Mills, has inked a pair of golfers during the 2021 National Signing Day period.
The Flashes are welcoming Willy Bishop and Ben MacLean to the squad for the 2022-23 season.
Willy Bishop-Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
Bishop comes to Kent State out of western Canada. Bishop was recently named to the 2021 National junior team. It highlights a terrific season for Bishop as he claimed the 2020 B.C. junior (U-19) and 2020 B.C. juvenile (U-17) championships. Bishop also claimed titles at the 2021 MJT Humber college PGM CJGA western championship and the 2021 MJT Humber college PGM.
Coach Mills on Bishop, "Willy is an exciting player who truly understands how to play the game. He is incredibly versatile around the greens and putts the ball at an elite level."
Ben MacLean- Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada
MacLean joins the Golden Flashes out of eastern Canada and is the top-ranked under 19 golfer in Ontario. MacLean grabbed the title at the 2021 golf Ontario super camp championship. He has several top-5s including a runner-up finish at the 2021 Ontario boys championship, a tie for fourth at the 2021 Canadian junior boys championship and a tie for fifth at the 2021 golf Canada sectional. MacLean is a member of Team Ontario's Provincial team.

The Golden Flashes are back in action on Valentine's Day weekend, starting their spring season at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate hosted by South Alabama.
