KENT, OHIO- The Golden Flashes wrap up the MACtion portion of the schedule with a trip to Mount Pleasant to take on Central Michigan on Wednesday night.

ABOUT THE GOLDEN FLASHES
Kent State broke out the powder blue uniforms for last week's 52-47 victory over Northern Illinois. The Flashes rolled up nearly 700 yards of offense and had all seven touchdown drives last under 2:00. Kent State now has 22 touchdown drives under two minutes this season.
The Flashes ran for 360 yards in the win over the Huskies with both Marquez Cooper and Xavier Williams going over 100 yards in the win. Kent State now has three of the top-12 rushers in the MAC in Cooper, Williams and Crum.
Crum threw for 322 yards and two scores and ran for 72 more and two scores in the victory. It moved him over 8,000 yards of offense in his career and were his 45th and 46th touchdown passes for his career. This moved him into third on the total offense career list and second on the touchdown pass list. He earned his second-straight MAC Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts and landed on the Manning Award Star of the Week for the second time this season.
He was joined in his conference accolades by Nico Bolden and Andrew Glass as the Flashes swept the awards for the first time this season. Bolden has come into his own over the last two games, posting 12 tackles in each. He also had a forced fumble and recovery that proved to be one of the bigger plays of the game.
Glass hit his lone field goal of the game and all seven extra points in the win. More impressively, he helped limit a NIU return game that was averaging over 23 yards per return. The Huskies had 35 total return yards on Wednesday.
ABOUT THE CHIPPEWAS
Limiting the return game will prove crucial for the Golden Flashes as Central Michigan's Kalil Pimpleton is one of the best return men in college football. He currently leads the FBS, averaging over 20 yards per return and returned a pair of punts for touchdowns against Western Michigan last week.
Pimpleton is also an electric receiver, averaging over 18 yards a catch. Quarterback Daniel Richardson has been a steady hand under center for the Chips, averaging over 260 yards per game through the air, completing 58 percent of his passes and tossing nine touchdowns against two picks in MAC play.
Lew Nichols is the leading rusher in the MAC, and has over 1,000 yards on the season and is averaging nearly 140 on the ground per game in conference play. He's topped 100 yards in every conference game except Miami Ohio and has a pair of rushing touchdowns in each of the last two games.
Defensively, Central Michigan gets into the backfield, ranking in the top-25 in sacks (25th) and tackles for loss (12th). Troy Hairston leads the team in both categories in MAC play with six tackles for loss in five games and 2.5 sacks.
