Cade Breitenstine Wins Robert Kepler

COLUMBUS, Ohio- Sophomore Cade Breitenstine won the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate with a 54-hole total of 210 (-3) and led the Kent State men's golf team to a tied for fourth finish to conclude the regular season.
The Flashes finished the tournament with a team-score of 870 (+18) after finishing the third round with a 291 (+7) score. This is Kent State's fifth top-5 finish of the season.
Breitenstine finished the final round with a 72 (+1) score after carding two birdies. He led the tournament on par-4 holes (-2) and led the team with 11 total birdies.
Jared Wilson tied for 18th at 218 (+5) after he finished the third round with a 74 (+3) score. Josh Gilkison carded four birdies and shot a 71 (E) score in the final round. Gilkison finished tied for 22nd with a 219 (+6).
Julien Paltrinieri finished tied for 48th at 224 (+11) after carding a 74 (+3) in the third round. Chris Vandette rounded out the lineup and finished in 68th with a 228 (+15) score after he finished the final round with a 74 (+3) score.
Kent State will return to action on April 30 – May 1 as the Flashes compete in the 2021 Mid-American Conference Championships at Sycamore Hills Golf Course.
