
Kent State Move into Fourth at NCAA Regional; Duo of Flashes Among Top 15

COLUMBUS, Ohio- The Kent State women's golf team tallied a second round score of 298 (+10) on Tuesday, moving into fourth place with a 589 (+13) 36-hole total at the NCAA Columbus Regional.
Emily Price led the Flashes in the second round and fired five birdies en-route to a 72 (E) score. Price sits tied for 21st at 149 (+5).
Caley McGinty is in fourth place with a 143 (-1) score through 36 holes. McGinty carded a 73 (+1) in the second round with a total of four birdies. Chloe Salort shot a 74 (+2) in the second round and is tied for 11th with a 146 (+2) score.
Mayka Hoogeboom is tied for 49th at 154 (+10) after she fired an 81 (+9) score, while Kory Nielsen rounds out the Flashes' lineup with a 155 (+11) score after she shot a 79 (+7) on the day.
The top six teams and the low three individuals not on an advancing team will move on to the NCAA Championship at the Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., Friday through Wednesday, May 21-26.
Play continues through Wednesday. Kent State will be paired with Arizona State and Kentucky for Wednesday's final round. The Flashes, Sun Devils and Wildcats will tee off from No. 1 in waves between 10:00-10:40 a.m.
