KENT, OHIO- The Golden Flashes are back in action on Thursday night, hosting Cleveland State at 7 p.m. for a Mid-American Conference dual between local rivals.
Kent State is coming off a tough loss to Buffalo, 27-9, in a dual that saw four matches go to extra time and another two get decided at the buzzer. Cleveland State saw their four-dual win streak come to an end last weekend, dropping a dual against the Naval Academy. The two squads are quite familiar with each other, this will be the 30th dual all time between the teams. The Golden Flashes own a 20-8-1record against the Vikings but Cleveland State won the last meeting in a thriller, 16-15 nearly two years ago to the day.
Thursday's dual will be streamed free of charge via Box Cast and a stats link is available through track wrestling. Both links are available on the wrestling schedule page. The projected starters are below for both teams, the match to watch out for is the potential clash between DeAndre Nassar of Cleveland State and Colin McCracken of Kent State, McCracken is ranked second in the MAC in the latest conference rankings while Nassar is ranked third.
Kent State is back in action on Sunday in a tri-meet as they will take on MAC foe Clarion as well as Hofstra in a non-conference dual. The wrestling will get started on Sunday at noon.
