KENT, Ohio – Kent State Athletics has announced updates and reminders to the health and safety measures for winter home events.
Effective immediately (Feb. 1), concessions will return to full service at athletics events hosted inside of the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MACC) and Kent State Field House. As a reminder, concessions are cashless and accept credit and debit cards, Flash Cards, and declining balance.
For members of our Golden Flashes Club, Chalk Talk sessions will return, as will the Donor's Lounge and Blaze Bites court side service. Flashes' Nest dining will remain open to eligible donors.
Per University health protocols, a reminder that masks are REQUIRED to be worn inside all campus buildings, including the MACC, regardless of vaccination status for all faculty, staff, and fans.
The Athletic Department requires all patrons of the MACC to always wear masks for your own safety as well as the health, safety, and well-being of others, including student-athletes, coaches, fellow Kent State fans and visitors. Masks will be provided upon entrance to the MACC should you not have one. Failure to comply with the mask mandate is grounds for removal from the MACC.
"It is extremely important that EVERYONE does their part and masks up to ensure that we are able to continue to have spectators in the MACC to support our student-athletes," Director of Athletics Randale Richmond said. "Failure to comply with the mask mandate will force us to implement attendance restrictions or eliminate all spectators."
The Athletic Department will continue to monitor and evaluate this policy and communicate any changes. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our student-athletes, staff, and members of our community safe and healthy.
