Wrestling Open MAC Play at Home Against Northern Illinois

KENT, Ohio- Kent State wrestling makes their home debut for the 2022-23 season this weekend, as they will take on the Northern Illinois Huskies at 1 p.m. on Sunday, December 18 at the Kent State Field House. This also marks the first of nine MAC duals for the Flashes this season.
Fans attending the event will receive an ugly sweater t-shirt and will also receive entry into the men's basketball game against Concord at 5 p.m. Sunday evening, where there will be an ugly sweater contest.
Historically, Kent State has fared well against Northern Illinois, with an all-time record of 24-9-2 against the Huskies. The Flashes will look for a 25th win against the Huskies after losing the last three meetings.ย
Multiple bouts this Sunday will likely feature two top MAC wrestlers at their weights. Jake Ferri (2nd), will take on Blake West (3rd), and Enrique Munguia (2nd) will likely be taking on Izzac Olejnik (1st). All starters for each team are listed below.
