
Kent State Track and Field Heads to Tiffin Track Carnival on Friday

The outdoor season continues for the Kent State track and field program with action at the Tiffin Track Carnival on Friday, April 15. The meet will be co-hosted by Heidelberg University and Tiffin University.
Throwing events will be held at Tiffin University's Paradiso Athletic Complex, beginning with the men's hammer throw and women's discus throw at 9 a.m.
Competition from H's Track over at Heidelberg is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. with the men's long jump. Running events will start at noon with the men's 4x100-meter relay. The final race of the night, the women's 10,000-meter run, is scheduled for 10:20 p.m.
PREVIEWING THE FLASHES
Kent State will have 39 student-athletes in action this week, including three with national top-50 rankings. Jake Wickey leads the way with a No. 21 ranking in the men's hammer throw. Gabby Bailey has top-50 rankings in both the women's shot put (No. 32) and women's discus throw (No. 47). Grace Tennant is No. 36 in the women's discus throw.
Additional Golden Flashes slated for action who own top-5 Mid-American Conference rankings are Grace Frye (women's javelin throw), Marissa Henley (women's hammer throw), Nolan Landis (men's shot put, discus throw), Jeff Neuhaus (men's discus throw) and Aliesha Shaw (women's discus throw).
NEXT UP FOR KENT STATE
The Golden Flashes will have student-athletes entered to compete at the Indiana Invitational, Jesse Owens Classic and Virginia Challenge next weekend (April 22-23).
