KENT, OHIO- The Kent State football portion of Saturday's Spring Extravaganza will be moved inside the Kent State Field House due to the high winds and low temperatures expected on Saturday morning.
The Spring showcase is still set to begin at 9:30 a.m. and remains open to the public with free admission. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. Fans can pick up their 2022 schedule poster prior to the start of practice and 2022 season tickets will be on sale throughout the event.
Fans will get an inside look at an open practice with "live" periods throughout the two-hour showcase. The annual spring game showcases the football program's work over the spring practice season. Kent State is coming off a record-setting season and one that saw the program win its first Mid-American Conference East Division title since 2012.
At the conclusion of the spring game, the Golden Flashes will officially sign the newest member of the #FlashFAST family, Kingston. Kingston joins the football program through Kent State Athletics' partnership with Team IMPACT, a non-profit organization that matches children with serious and chronic illnesses and partners them will college athletic teams. Kent State football joins the field hockey, gymnastics, and men's basketball programs in the Kent State Team IMPACT partnership.
Immediately following the Spring Showcase, fans are encouraged to head over to Dix Stadium for Kent State's women's lacrosse senior day. The Golden Flashes will be recognizing their senior class. All 12 seniors were part of the inaugural women's lacrosse team and the program will be looking to break the single-season record for wins in a season. Opening draw between Kent State and Central Michigan is set for 1 p.m.
