Bailey Earns First MAC Field Athlete of the Week Honor During Outdoor Season

CLEVELAND – Kent State senior Gabby Bailey has been named Mid-American Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday.
Bailey's impressive performance at the Tiffin Track Carnival included victories in the discus throw and shot put. Her MAC-leading discus throw of 181'-8" puts her 19th on the national performance list. Bailey won the shot put with a toss of 51'-11.75", a mark only one other MAC thrower has achieved this season.
The Golden Flashes will return to action this weekend, with the majority of the team headed to the Indiana Invitational and a small group of women's distance runners in action at the Jesse Owens Classic.
