HOLLAND, OH.... With the first two rounds of the 2022 MAC Championship in the books, the Kent State women's golf team sits 13 strokes ahead of their next closest competitor in Northern Illinois, and will look to carry that momentum through the final round on Sunday to keep their streak of perfection alive and secure their 23rd straight title.
Emily Price continues to lead the Flashes, carding a 73 on Saturday to remain one stroke off the lead, currently held by Jasmine Ly of NIU at 142.
Price is joined in the top three by Fifth-year Chloe Salort who also turned in a strong Saturday performance, and who will enter the final day well within striking distance of an individual MAC title herself.
Freshman Jennifer Gu continues to shine in Holland, remaining inside the top-ten in a tie for eighth with a score just eight strokes over par after posting a mirror image 76 on the links again today.
Mayka Hoogeboom and Noramol Nuchsila both find themselves inside the top-25 going into the final round on Sunday, with a monster 73-stroke round launching Hoogeboom into a tie for 12th while Nuchsila remains in the top half of the field in 22nd.
The Flashes will begin Sunday's final round with a tee-time of 9:50 AM, once again paired with Northern Illinois and Toledo who sit second and sixth respectively. Live scoring can be tracked on GolfStat.
