It was announced on Thursday that all five members of the Mid-American Conference winning Kent State women's golf team had been named to the All-MAC first and second teams, with Emily Price collecting MAC Golfer of the Year honors and Jennifer Gu being named MAC Freshman of the Year.
Price dominated all season long, taking individual wins at the Illini Women's Invitational in the fall and at the Lady Buckeye Invitational this spring. The senior took home MAC Women's Golfer of the Week honors four times and was a multiple-time MAC Female Scholar-Athlete of the week.
Gu finished her 2021-22 season in style, becoming the top freshman finisher at the MAC-Championship and finishing inside the top-50 in half of the events she entered, with a tie for 33rd at the Wolverine Invitational in Michigan.
Alongside Price on the All-MAC first team were Chloe Salort and Mayka Hoogeboom who finished second and eighth in the MAC Championship respectively.
Gu was joined on the All-MAC second team by Noramol Nuchsila who played an integral role in helping the Flashes secure a 23rd consecutive conference crown.
