KENT, OHIO- Kent State has reached an agreement on a non-conference contest at Ohio State to be played on September 19th, 2026, at Ohio Stadium in Columbus.
The scheduled meeting will be the fourth all-time between the two in-state schools, all since 2000, having met previously in 2002, 2007 and 2014.
"There is so much passion and excitement for football within our state," said Director of Athletics Randale L. Richmond. "An opportunity to travel to Columbus presents a great opportunity for our program."
Season tickets are on sale now for the 2022 football season. Kent State is coming off the second MAC East Division title in program history and the first since 2012. The #FlashFAST offense set numerous records last season and ranked in the top-10 nationally in total offense and rushing offense. The attacking defense matched the offense among the nation's elite, ranking in the top-10 in forced turnovers and interceptions.
The Golden Flashes five game home slate starts with the home opener against Long Island University on Saturday, September 17th and is highlighted by the annual Wagon Wheel rivalry on Saturday, October 22nd. The season ticket package also includes games against Ohio University (Saturday, October 1st), Ball State (Tuesday, November 1st) and Eastern Michigan (Wednesday, November 16th).
