Vance Named to Wuerffel Award Watch List for Second-Straight Year

ATLANTA – Kent State wide receiver Isaac Vance has been named to the Wuerffel Trophy Award Watch list for the second consecutive season.
The Wuerffel Trophy, is named for Heisman Trophy winner Danny Wuerffel and is College Football's Premier Award for Community Service,
The trophy honors college football players who serve others, celebrate their positive impact on society and inspire greater service in the world. It is the first major award honoring the character of service to others.
This is the second-straight year that Vance has been named to the Watch List. Vance continues to be actively involved in the community and earned the Humanitarian Award last year in advance of the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.
Vance currently serves as the president of Kent State's Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). He also sits on the Mid-American Conference and NCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committees. Additionally, he serves on the D-I Football Oversight Committee, providing a student-athlete prospective on rules and legislation in college football.
Vance is also the Kent State chapter president for Uplifting Athletes, an organization that raises money for rare disease research. He is a member of the Mid-American Conference Name, Image and Likeness working group and is a Kent State student ambassador. He is also part of the team's second-and-seven club and reads to local elementary school children.
The formal announcement of the 2022 recipient is scheduled to be made on December 8, and the presentation of the 2022 Wuerffel Trophy will occur on February 24, 2023.
