Flashes have five named to All-MAC, Da'Realyst Clark named Special Teams Player of the Year

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Golden Flashes saw five named to the All-MAC teams, and Da'Realyst Clark was named the MAC Special Teams Player of the Year.
Da'Realyst Clark | Special Teams Player of the Year, All-MAC First Team
Clark was an electric returner for the Flashes this season and made a splash in the season-opener with a 100-yard game-winning kick return to give the Flashes their first win in over two years, defeating Merrimack 21-17. Clark also started homecoming with a bang, returning the opening kickoff 97 yards to give the Flashes a 7-0 lead in a 42-6 rout versus UMass. Clark finished the regular season, leading the nation with two kick return touchdowns and fourth in yards per kick return.
CJ Young | All-MAC Second Team
Young finished the season second with 89 tackles, but led the team with 42 solo tackles. Young also added eight tackles for loss, 2.5 tackles for loss, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one interception in 11 games.
Jamond Mathis | All-MAC Second Team
Mathis led the Flashes pass rush, finishing the season with six sacks and six quarterback hurries. Mathis also finished tied for second with eight tackles for loss and added three pass breakups.
Cade Wolford | All-MAC Third Team
Wolford was a dynamic offensive player for the Flashes, leading the team with 509 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns. Wolford averaged a nation-leading 26.79 yards per catch. Wolford also added 96 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.
Mason Woods | All-MAC Third Team
Woods led the Flashes with 94 tackles and 11 tackles for loss. Woods also had two sacks, three quarterback hurries, one pass breakup, and one forced fumble.
