KENT, Ohio – Kent State graduate senior Tianna Harris has been named to the Hermann Trophy Watch List and the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Division I Women's Players to Watch list.
The Hermann Trophy, presented annually by the Missouri Athletic Club, is the nation's highest individual honor recognizing the National Player of the Year as determined by the voting of Division I coaches. Meanwhile, the USC Players to Watch list includes All-Americans and first or second team All-Region players from 2021 who are scheduled to return for the 2022 season.
Harris was named the Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Year and earned First Team All-MAC and USC First Team All-Midwest honors last season. The Whitby, Ontario native played and started in all 21 games for the Golden Flashes in 2021 and was the leader of a defense that tallied six shutouts. Harris also netted a career-high four goals during her senior campaign, including the game-winner against Northern Illinois and Miami.
Harris was one of two MAC players named to the Players to Watch list, alongside Buffalo's Payton Robertson, and was the lone MAC representative on the Hermann Trophy Watch List.
The Flashes kick off the regular season tonight, when they host Cleveland State at Zoeller Field at Dix Stadium at 7 p.m.
