Flashes Resume MAC Duals on Sunday at Buffalo

KENT- The Golden Flashes head back into MAC competition this weekend with a trek up I-90 to Buffalo on Sunday to square off with the Bulls.
Sunday's dual will start at 2 p.m. inside Buffalo's Alumni Arena. Buffalo is coming off a 0-2 weekend with non-conference losses to Pitt and Hofstra. They are 2-0 in MAC duals with wins over SIU-E and Edinboro.
The Flashes are coming off a 0-4 stretch at the Virginia Duals. Jake Ferri went 3-1 over the weekend, capturing his second MAC Wrestler of the Week honors as a result. Ferri was also ranked 18th at 125 pounds in the initial NCAA national rankings released on Friday. The grad student was joined by teammate Enrique Munguia who debuted at 27th in the rankings at 165 pounds.
Kent State owns a 26-12 all-time series lead over the Bulls and has had recent success in Buffalo. The Flashes have won three of the previous four duals in Alumni Arena including a 20-17 triumph back in January of 2020.
Sunday's event will stream live on You Tube and will be free of charge to watch, the link is available on the wrestling schedule page. The projected lineups for both teams are below. The Flashes will be back in action next weekend for a pair of home duals. First up is SIU-E on Friday night at 6 p.m. inside the Kent State Field House.
