
Kent State Cross Country Heads to Live in Lou Classic

The Kent State cross country teams will have a chance to preview the 2023 NCAA Championships course at Panorama Farms as they travel to Charlottesville, Virginia on Saturday, Oct. 14 for the XC23 Pre-Nationals.
The meet will feature four races with the Golden Flashes competing in the men's 8K Orange race at 8:45 a.m. and the women's 6K Orange race at 11 a.m.
The XC23 Pre-Nationals will be streamed on ACCNX which is available through the ESPN app and at WatchESPN.com for customers who have the ACC Network as part of their TV subscription.
Last Time Out
The men's team sits at No. 14 in the NCAA DI Men's Cross Country Great Lakes Regional Coaches' Rankings after finishing 16th out of 32 teams at the Live in Lou Classic on Sept. 30. Baidy Ba continued his stellar junior campaign and placed fourth with a time of 23:43.00. Senior Ethan Yost (24:33.8) and sophomore Dylan McBride (25:06.9) both recorded PRs in the 8K.
For the second time in three races, junior and Sydney Gallagher (18:42.5) led the way for the women's team crossing the finish line in 18:42.5. Freshman Ella McCollom (18:46.2) also posted a sub-19:00.00 time.
