
Flashes Set to Host College of Charleston

Kent, OH – The Kent State Men's basketball team returns to the M.A.C. Center after a three-game series in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Flashes will have two home games before going back on the road. The Flashes host the College of Charleston on Sunday, Nov. 27. Tip-off time is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and can be heard on the GoFlashes App. Sunday's game will be our campers' reunion day where all former Flash campers are encouraged to come and support their Flashes.
Last time out
The Golden Flashes return to the M.A.C. Center after placing third in the Paradise Jam Tournament. The Flashes took down Hampton by 30+ points and recorded 100 points for the second time this season. Chirs Payton Jr. led the game with 20 points and eight boards while both Cli'ron Hornbeak and Jalen Sullinger contributed double-digits. The Flashes made history by recording the fourth most points in the Paradise Jam Tournament. After a loss in the semifinal game against Missouri State, the Flashes bounced back defeating Fordham University 79-72 for third place. Chris Payton Jr. has recorded three 20+ games this season and Jalen Sullinger has contributed double-digits in five of the Flashes' six games this season. As a whole, the Flashes average 82.8 points per game while holding a +11.17 scoring margin
Key Players for College of Charleston
Charleston is coming off of an 80-72 win over Coastal Carolina at the Myrtle Beach Invitational on November 19. The Cougars sank 17 triples, tied for the third most in a single game history. Reyne Smith dropped 24 points with six threes for the most points scored by a Cougar this season. The Cougars are ranked 44th nationally with 14.40 offensive rebounds per game. The Cougars received votes in the first AP poll of the season after coming off 31 wins last season that included a CAA Men's Basketball Championship and an NCAA appearance.

The Golden Flashes will meet the College of Charleston for the second season in a row. The Flashes last saw the Cougars in Charleston in a thrilling two-point game. The Flashes will look for redemption as the Cougars took the last win in the 2022-23 season. The Cougars currently lead the all-time series 3-1.
