McCray Leads Kent State All-MAC Selections

KENT- Kent State wide receiver Chrishon McCray was named first team, highlighting four players named all Mid-American Conference as voted on by the conference coaches.
Place kicker Andrew Glass was named second-team All-MAC while defensive lineman CJ West and wide receiver Luke Floriea was named to the third team.
McCray had a breakout year for the Golden Flashes, leading the team in receptions (41), yards (610) and touchdowns (4), despite missing the final three games with an injury. The sophomore upped his game in conference play, leading the MAC in receptions per game (6) and yards per game (96), thirty yards more than any other receiver in the conference.
Andrew Glass had another tremendous season, connecting on 15-of-17 field goals with a long of 48. The junior hit on 6-of-7 from 40+ yards and drilled 11 touchbacks on kick-offs. His 15 field goals were third in the MAC as was 88 percent hit rate. Glass also surpassed the 50-career field goal mark this season, sitting second all-time in program history.
CJ West earns third-team honors along the defensive line, leading the team in tackles for loss with seven and tying for the team high with a pair of sacks. He upped his game in conference play with four of his tackles-for-loss coming against conference foes. The Chicago native also recorded 40 total tackles, second on the Flashes' defensive line.
Luke Floriea earned all-conference honors, joining Chrishon McCray among the honored wide outs. Floriea finished second on the team with 39 receptions for 405 yards, catching four touchdowns and rushing for one more. The Mentor native closed the season strong, recording 21 of his catches over the final three games in McCray's absence. He totaled 33 catches in MAC play, tops on the team and seventh in the MAC.
The Golden Flashes turn its attention to the off-season as the team prepares for the upcoming early signing day on December 20th.
