
Flashes Head to North Carolina for Gardner-Webb Quad

KENT- The Golden Flashes head south this weekend, traveling to North Carolina to take part in a quad meet hosted by Gardner-Webb.
The Flashes will take on the host Runnin' Bulldogs, Buffalo and UT-Chattanooga on Saturday afternoon. Kent State took last weekend off and was last in action against West Virginia and Duke in dual action and at the Navy Classic in an open tournament.
Through the first month of the season, the Flashes have been led by Pablo Castro (9-3) and Billy Meiszner (9-4). Blake Schaffer is off to a 5-2 start to the season and wrestled to a fifth-place finish at the Navy Classic.
Saturday will not be streamed, fans can check out the track wrestling stats as well as KentStWrestling on social media to follow along. The projected starting lineup for all four teams is listed below. The Flashes will open up their home slate next Friday, welcoming in VMI, Gannon and Mount Union for a quad meet starting at 1 p.m.
