Takagi to Compete in 2023 Patriot All-America Invitational

Sophomore Leon Takagi will be participating in the Patriot All-America Invitational from December 29-31 at Wigwam Golf Resort in Litchfield Park, AZ.
Takagi is coming off a fantastic fall for the Golden Flashes, finishing in the top 20 in four of five tournaments, including two inside the top five.
The Patriot All-American Invitational began back in 2011. The field expanded to 66 participants back in 2022 and includes the top female golfers in the NCAA.
It is identified as a Class A tournament by the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR).
Each golfer has a fallen soldier they will honor. Takagi is representing Marine Corps Sgt. Yadir Renoso.Â
A native of Wapato, Washignton, Renoso was known as a kind individual who stepped up to challenges. Renoso was assigned to Battalion Landing Team, 11th Marine Expeditionary Force. He lost his life in August of 2004 fighting in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Takagi will tee off at 9:30 A.M. PT tomorrow morning.
