3/17/2023 7:11:00 PM | Women's Golf
Tallahassee, FLO... The Kent State women's golf team will enter the middle round of this year's Florida State Match Up in fourth place after finishing Friday's round just six strokes over par.
The Flashes were led by senior Mayka Hoogeboom, who carded an impressive 71 to close out the opening round in a tie for fourth atop the 65-player field.
Once again a trio of Flashes are all inside the top-25, with Noramol Nuchsila on par in a tie for seventh, and Jennifer Gu just two strokes over in a tie for 16th.
Florida State leads the pack on their home course as the only team under par, but Kent State has put some distance between themselves and the rest of the field outside the top five.
The Match Up will resume on Saturday with a 10 AM Eastern tee time, and Kent State will once again be paired with Notre Dame and Purdue.
