3/24/2023 6:10:00 PM | Women's Golf
Sunset, SC... With the opening round of this year's Clemson Invitational in the books, the Kent State women's golf team will have some work to do moving forward, entering Saturday's middle round in 11th place with just three strokes separating themselves from the top seven.
Freshman Leon Takagi leads the Flashes after day one, carding a 72 to stay on par and wrap up Friday's action on the links in a tie for 14th.
The rest of the Kent State lineup are all within six strokes of the freshman's mark, and will have an excellent opportunity to climb the leaderboard throughout the weekend.
Play will resume on Saturday with an 11:00 ET shotgun start and the Flashes will be paired with Tennessee, Illinois, and UNCW for the duration of the day.
