
Kneffler’s Pole Vault Victory Highlights Opening Outdoor Weekend at Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. – Kristian Kneffler opened the outdoor track and field season by winning the men's pole vault to lead the way as 12 Kent State student-athletes competed at the Raleigh Relays.
Kneffler cleared 16'-4.75" to take first in the invitational section of the men's pole vault competition.
Angelina Lotarski placed sixth in the women's pole vault with a height of 11'-1.75".
Baidy Ba led the Golden Flashes on the track with a pair of top-50 finishes. Ba ran a time of 3:47.18 to take 36th in the men's 1500-meter run and added a personal-best time of 1:51.71 in the men's 800-meter run for 43rd place. Ethan Yost edged Ba in the 800m and placed 32nd in 1:51.31.
In the women's 800m, Anna Jones paced Kent State in 2:12.47 to finish 50th. Karsyn Spears was close behind, crossing the finish line in 2:13.06 for 64th.
The Flashes will be back in action at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational, which will be hosted by at Cincinnati on Friday, March 31 and Saturday, April 1.
