Dallas, Tex... The Kent State women's golf team wrapped up this year's Trinity Forest Invitational in sixth place, finishing just one stroke over par in the team's best result of the spring season.
The Flashes were led by Mayka Hoogeboom, who carded a 70 in Tuesday's final round, gaining four spots to close out the event in a tie for fifth.
Hoogeboom was followed closely by fellow senior Noramol Nuchsila, who rounded out her invitational in a tie for 14th just two strokes behind Hoogeboom, and two strokes ahead of Jennifer Gu, who ensured that the Flashes would have a third contender inside the top 25.
The hosts from SMU used their knowledge of their home course to their advantage en route to a first-place finish, followed by Houston and USF.
Kent State will be back in action next Friday when they travel to Tallahassee for the Florida State Matchup from March 17-19.
