
Kent State Field Hockey Reveals 2023 Schedule

KENT, Ohio — A trio of Big Ten Conference teams will visit Murphy-Mellis Field this fall, as the Kent State field hockey schedule for the 2023 season was announced on Tuesday.
The campaign begins with a trip to Virginia as the Golden Flashes will play at Liberty on Aug. 25 and at VCU on Aug. 27.
Kent State opens its eight-match home slate the following weekend against Michigan State on Sept. 1 and UC Davis on Sept. 3.
Following a weekend on the road for matchups with Penn State (Sept. 8), Bucknell (Sept. 10), the 2022 co-regular season champions will begin Mid-American Conference play at Central Michigan on Sept. 15.
The Flashes will then host Michigan, the No. 4 seed in last year's NCAA Tournament, for the first time since 2014 on Sept. 17. A home contest against Ohio will follow on Sept. 22 before heading back on the road to play Ball State (Sept. 30) and App State (Oct. 6).
A four-game homestand follows, beginning against in-state rivals Ohio State (Oct. 8) and Miami (Oct. 13). The home slate then concludes with matches against Lock Haven (Oct. 15) and Longwood (Oct. 22).
The final regular season contests will be played on the road at Bellarmine on Oct. 27 and at Indiana on Oct. 29.
The MAC Tournament will be held Nov. 3-4 in Oxford.
