Kent State Soccer Announces 2023 Home Game Promotions

KENT, Ohio – With just three days before the season opener, Kent State soccer has announced its game-by-game promotions for the 2023 season.
Kent State kicks off the season against Colgate on Sunday, Aug. 20 at Zoeller Field at Dix Stadium, with the theme for the home opener being "Brush Away Colgate." As students come back to campus, the team will be looking to break the program's all-time attendance record. Giveaways will include travel toothbrushes and schedule posters.
On Thursday, Aug. 24, the Golden Flashes will host the Pitt Panthers for Back in Black Night and Student Welcome Back. Fans are encouraged to wear black to Dix Stadium as part of a black out. Giveaways include black Kent State Soccer scarves.
After a three-game road trip, the Flashes return home on Sunday, Sept. 10 to host Duquesne on Senior Day, where the program's senior class will be honored for their years of hard work and dedication as part of Kent State soccer.
Kent State opens the home portion of the Mid-American Conference slate on Sunday, Sept. 24 against Akron for the annual FlaSHEs Will game. Kent State will also welcome local youth soccer teams and Kent State soccer camp attendees to the rivalry game. Fans are encouraged to wear gold as part of a gold out within the stadium.Â
The Flashes wrap up a two-game homestand against Eastern Michigan on Thursday, Sept. 28. The theme for the game will be Rock 'n Roll Night. Thunder sticks will be given out to all fans in attendance to help create the loudest environment possible against the Eagles.
For the Flashes' contest against Central Michigan on Sunday, Oct. 8, the team will pay homage to the 2000's as part of 2000's Night. Kent State bucket hats will be given to fans who get to Dix Stadium early.Â
On Sunday, Oct. 15, the Flashes will host their Epilepsy and Seizure Awareness game against Northern Illinois. The team will wear purple ribbons to raise awareness about epilepsy.Â
To wrap up the home schedule, the Flashes will honor their Most Valuable Professors against Western Michigan on Thursday, Oct. 19. Fans can treat themselves to a complimentary hot cocoa bar and can also enter the end of the year raffle.
