
Flashes Featured Heavily as MAC Announces Men’s Basketball Preseason Poll, National TV Schedule

CLEVELAND – The Kent State Men's Basketball team was picked third in the Mid-American Conference 2024-2025 Men's Basketball Preseason Coaches' Poll, the conference announced earlier today.
Kent State redshirt senior VonCameron Davis was named to the to the preseason All-MAC First Team. The Golden Flashes forward appeared in 33 games, starting in 25 and averaging 13.8 points per game during the 2023-24 season. Davis was named to the All-MAC Honorable Mention Team for his play a year ago.
Senior guard Jalen Sullinger has been named to the preseason All-MAC Second team. Last season Sullinger appeared in all 34 games making 30 starts and led the Flashes in scoring averaging 15.4 points per game. He made 83 shots from beyond the arc, which moved him to seventh in program history for three-pointers made in a single season. Sullinger earned All-MAC Third Team honors following last season.
Kent State will open its 2024-25 season on the road on Monday, Nov. 4 at the University of Louisiana at 8:00 p.m. eastern time. The Flashes will then hold their home opener on Friday, Nov. 8 at 7:00 p.m. inside the MAC Center against Miami University-Hamilton.
