
Flashes Drop Three-Setter to BG

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio โ Kent State lost a Mid-American Conference volleyball contest to host Bowling Green on Saturday, 3-0 (22-25, 15-25, 13-25).
The Golden Flashes (1-20, 0-11 MAC) and Falcons went back and forth with 11 ties and five lead changes in the opening set. Bowling Green took just the second multi-point lead of the night going into the media timeout and recorded a kill coming out for a 16-13 advantage. Kent State got within one point three times but could not overcome the deficit.
Bowling Green hit .397 to control the next two sets and get the sweep.
Junior Mackenzie McGuire led the Flashes with seven kills and graduate student Breanna Burrell added five. Kendall White notched a double-double with 18 assists and 11 digs.
Kent State returns to the M.A.C. Center to host rival Akron as part of the '50 Years of Kent State Volleyball' celebration next Friday and Saturday.
