Golden Flashes Travel to Take On #5 Auburn

AUBURN, Ala.– The Kent State University men's basketball team continues its early season non-conference slate on Wednesday Nov. 13 against the fifth ranked Auburn University Tigers. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. eastern time inside Neville Arena.
This is first meeting in program history between the Kent State Golden Flashes and the Auburn Tigers. This will be the 13th game for Kent State against SEC competition. Including the new members following realignment the Flashes are 5-7 against the SEC. The Flashes and Tigers both enter Nov. 13 with 2-0 records; the Tigers have jumped from #11 to #5 in the AP Poll following their win against Houston on Nov. 10.
Last time out the Golden Flashes secured their 20th straight home opening victory inside the M.A.C Center besting Miami-Hamilton 98-53. All 11 players that took the floor for Kent State scored. Cli'Ron Hornbeak dropped a career high 18 points while also hauling in a roster leading nine rebounds. KSU has 33 rebounds as a team. VonCameron Davis also scored 18. Jalen Sullinger tallied 11 and Marquis Barnett 10 rounding out the double-digit scorers. Additionally, seniors Mike Bekelja and Morgan Safford each scored nine.
Redshirt sophomore Magnus Entenmann tallied a career high five blocks on his way to seven points and six rebounds on the night.
Wednesday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and on 850 AM ESPN Cleveland with Rob Polinsky on the radio call.
