
Six Flashes Earn MAC Yearly Awards

CLEVELAND, Ohio- Six members of the Kent State soccer team earned yearly awards from the Mid-American Conference, the league office announced Tuesday.
Seniors Alisa Arthur and Siena Stambolich earned All-MAC Second Team recognition while Jules Dolinski was named MAC Freshman of the Year. Ali Weibel, Allison Collins, Katie Henahan, and Dolinski were all named to the All-MAC Freshman team.
Arthur had a stellar senior season for the Golden Flashes. The senior leads Kent State in goals (9), points (19), shots (55), and shots on goal (30). The Miamisburg native is now fifth all-time in career goals at Kent State, as well as tied for fourth in game winners (8) and seventh in points (64). Arthur was named MAC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring a brace in the regular-season finale against bowling green to help the Flashes clinch the fourth seed.
Stambolich had a phenomenal senior campaign for Kent State. The midfielder leads the team in assists (4). The Kleinberg Ontario native is second on the team goals (3), points (10), and game-winning goals (2). The senior scored the winning goal at Toledo to open MAC play and the winner from the penalty spot vs Central Michigan on senior day. Stambolich was crucial in the Flashes' win over Bowling Green to end the season scoring an Olimpico to open the scoring in the 4th minute to open the scoring and assisted Ava Todd's winner in the 70th minute.
Dolinski made an instant impact for Head Coach Rob Marinaro's squad, starting 16 games up front during her freshman season. Dolinski netted two goals for the Flashes this year, including a go-ahead goal against Central Michigan. She also added two assists during her freshman campaign assisting both goals in a 2-2 draw at Buffalo. Dolinski is tied for second on the team in assists (3), shots (37), and shots on goal (18). The Sparta New Jersey native led the team in minutes played by an attacked with 1,152.
Weibel has been an integral part of the Kent State back line during their 2024 campaign. Weibel was the only freshman to play and start every game for the Flashes with a team-high in minutes played with 1,520. The Flashes' five shutouts is an improvement on their three shutouts in regular season play last season.
Collins has played and started in 16 of the Flashes 17 games at the wing-back position. Helping lead the Flashes to five shutouts, their best mark since the 2022 season. Collins recorded four points on the season thanks to an assist at Colgate and against Bowling Green and a goal at Northern Illinois. Collins played 1,287 minutes good for sixth in the team.
Henahan has been a rock in the middle for the Flashes during her Freshman year. The Oakville Ontario native has played and started in 16 of Kent State's 17 games including all 11 conference games. Henahan was seventh in minutes played with 1,153.
The Flashes will be back on the pitch on Thursday, Nov. 7, when they travel to Kalamazoo to face top-seeded Western Michigan in the MAC tournament Semifinals. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.
