KENT- The Flashes stay at home this weekend with Central Michigan coming to town for a Mid-American Conference dual on Friday night.
Kent State started strong against Ohio last weekend in the annual grudge match, winning the first three matches in dominant fashion. Highlighting that quick start was Pablo Castro, who recorded a first-period fall. It was his 13th win of the season, he'll go for #14 against Vince Perez who is 8-10 on the year.
Central Michigan earned the top spot in the latest MAC wrestling rankings and defeated Buffalo 28-5 last weekend. The Chippewas have a trio of starters ranked in the InterMat Top-32 and a pair of wrestlers in the MAC top spot at their respective weight (Corbyn Munson, 149 and Alex Cramer, 174).
Friday night is the Senior Rumble night with the Flashes recognizing a pair of seniors. There will also be a Kent State Wrestling crewneck sweatshirt giveaway to the first 100 fans. There will also be a pre-match happy hour with discounted concessions.
The projected lineups for both teams are below, Friday's match will be streamed for free via Box Cast with Dan Griffin and Tom Evans on the call. Stats via WrestleStat will also be available.
The Flashes stay at home next week, hosting Cleveland State on Thursday night. The first dual is set for 7 p.m. inside the MAC Center.
