
Flashes Continue Road Trip with Mid-Week Series at Troy

KENT- The Golden Flashes continue their eight-game road trip taking on the Troy Trojans for a two-game midweek series.
Game times are set for Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET and Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET.
The Flashes coming into the series 1-5 after a weekend sweep at the hands of Louisiana Tech. Benny Roebuck, the slated starter for Tuesday, had a solid outing Friday where he pitched four shutout innings tallying three strikeouts.
The Trojans are 7-1 and coming off a weekend sweep of Harvard where they put up an impressive 29 runs over the three-game series that saw two games end in seven innings. The Trojans' offense is being led by first basemen Will Butcher who is hitting .500 on the young season with 23 RBI.
Tuesday night's starter Garrett Gainous has a small but successful sample size in 2024. He got the start against Florida A and M, working an inning allowing an unearned run and striking out one.
This series will be the third and fourth meeting between the programs with Kent State leading the all-time series 2-0. Both games will be streamed on ESPN+, there will be radio on the Troy Sports Radio Network, and live stats will also be provided. Links are available on the baseball schedule page.
The last leg of the road trip will be in Jacksonville, Alabama to take on the Jacksonville State Gamecocks. First pitch on Friday is set for 7 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. CT
