Kent State to Part Ways with Kyle DeSandes-Moyer

KENT- Kent State Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Randale L. Richmond has announced that the Golden Flashes and Head Field Hockey Coach Kyle DeSandes-Moyer have parted ways.
"We want to thank Coach DeSandes-Moyer for the last five seasons as head coach of the Golden Flashes. We wish her best of luck in her future endeavors," Richmond said.
Assistant head coach Cody Hunsicker will serve as interim head coach for the upcoming spring season.
"A national search for the new leader of the field hockey program will begin immediately as we continue our mission to graduate student athletes, boldly prepared for life after sport and win championships," Richmond added.
The Flashes went 5-2 in MAC play in 2023 and have not lost more than three conference games since 2011 and have finished first or second in the conference all but one season since 2006. Kent State has reached double digit wins in five of the last eight seasons and has won no fewer than eight games in a season each of the last 18 seasons.
