KENT, Ohio – Kent State freshman midfielder Alanna Raimondo has been selected to join the Canadian U-20 Women's National Team Project in Germany this April.Â
Raimondo made an instant impact for head coach Rob Marinaro's squad this fall, helping lead the Golden Flashes to the Mid-American Conference championship game. She played and started all 21 games in the midfield, scoring four goals, including one in the MAC title game, and adding one assist. Her four goals were tied for the second-most by any Golden Flash this season and helped her earn a spot on the MAC All-Freshman team.
As part of the U-20 WNT Germany Tour, Raimondo and the Canadian squad will face the United States' U-20 team on April 7Â and Germany's U-20s on April 9Â following a week of training.Â
Prior to coming to Kent State, Raimondo attended U-17 Canada Soccer National Camps in both Spain and Mexico.
