KENT,OHIO- Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Randale L. Richmond has announced a contract extension for head women's basketball coach Todd Starkey through the 2029-2030 season.
"I am thrilled to announce a well-deserved extension for Coach Starkey," Richmond said. "He has maintained a high level of excellence in all facets of the Kent State women's basketball program. "I would like to thank President Diacon, Randale Richmond, and the entire Kent State community for their continued support and vision for where Kent State women's basketball can go," Starkey said. "This community's passion for women's basketball became evident during our championship run this season, we are excited about pursuing more as we move forward. "

The Flashes won 21 games in each of the last two seasons, marking the first time in 13 years Kent State has posted back-to-back 20-plus win campaigns.
Starkey has amassed 143 wins at Kent State and is already the second-winningest coach in Kent State history, winning games at a .591 clip both overall and in conference play.
