Flashes Set for Several Prime Time Games in 2024

KENT- Year two of the KentGRIT era will be showcased in prime time as the Flashes are currently set for six nationally televised games in the 2024 season as announced by the Mid-American Conference in conjunction with ESPN and CBS Sports Network.
The announcement sets game times and television assignments for the non-conference games as well as the annual slate of November mid-week MACtion games.
Kent State will open the season on Saturday, August 31st, travelling to the steel city to take on the Pitt Panthers. That game will have a noon ET kick-off and will air on ESPNU. The following week, the Flashes open the home schedule against the Saint Francis Red Flash. Kick-off for the home opener is set for 2:30 p.m. and will air on ESPN+. In week three, the Flashes head south to Knoxville to take on the Tennessee Volunteers under the lights at Neyland Stadium. Kick-off on Saturday, September 14th is set for 7:45 p.m. on the SEC Network. The Flashes week four game at Penn State on Saturday, September 21st does not have a kick time or television assignment yet.
Four mid-week MACtion games are set for November, starting on Wednesday, November 6th at home against Ohio. Kick-off for the Flashes' week nine game is set for 7 p.m. and will air on ESPN2 or ESPNU. A week later, Kent State travels to Oxford to clash with the Miami RedHawks. Wednesday, November 13th's contest will also kick off at 7 p.m. and will air on ESPN2, ESPNU or CBS Sports Network.
Six days later, the Flashes head home for the annual Wagon Wheel rivalry game on Tuesday, November 20th. The rivalry game could air at 7, 7:30 or 8 p.m. and will air on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or CBS Sports Network. The season finale send the Flashes up I-90 to take on Buffalo on Tuesday, November 26th. Kick-off from the Empire State is set for 7 p.m. and will air on ESPN2 or ESPN+.
The remaining conference games have not yet been assigned a kick-off time or television assignment.
