
Women's Track and Field tops MAC with 29 Academic All-Conference honorees

CLEVELAND — The Kent State women's track and field program had 29 student-athletes earn Academic All-MAC honors, as the Mid-American Conference recognized a total of 175 student-athletes for their accomplishments this past season.
The Flashes led the MAC with 29 honorees. The women's track and field program posted an impressive 3.598 team GPA for the semester and the women's cross country team posted a 3.869 GPA, the highest term GPA by a Kent State athletics team.
The Academic All-MAC Team honors student-athletes who have excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and junior college transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
