
Golden Flashes Drop Road Match in Athens

ATHENS, Ohio – Kent State lost to host Ohio, 3-0 (13-25, 21-25, 18-25), in a Mid-American Conference volleyball match on Tuesday.
The Golden Flashes (8-15, 3-9 MAC) were led by senior Mackenzie McGuire, who recorded 12 kills with a .385 hitting percentage. Junior Christina Vigil totaled 26 assists.
Sophomore Hailey Brenner anchored the defense with 12 digs. Redshirt sophomore Adalynn Ginley had a team-high three blocks to lead Kent State to a 5-3 advantage in the category.
The Flashes will return to the M.A.C. Center this weekend for matches against first-place Ball State on Friday and Saturday.
