CLEVELAND, Ohio – It was revealed on Thursday that Kent State's Veronika Kedronova is the recipient of the Mid-American Conference's Golfer of the Week award for her performance at the Spartan Sun Coast Collegiate earlier in the week. The sophomore finished tied for ninth of 81 players competing in the event at 1-under-par.
Kedronova has now won the award three times in a stellar sophomore season that has included two individual wins, five top-ten finishes, and a team-best 72.67 scoring average. Her opening round 69 and third round 72 improved her season-totals to three rounds in the 60s and ten rounds of par or better.
The Flashes women's golf team will return to action on March 9 at the Briar's Creek Invitational in South Carolina. As the Spring season rolls on, the Flashes will be hoping it concludes with a 26th consecutive MAC Championship, which will be contested at Delaware Country Club in Muncie, Indiana, beginning on April 20.
