Batsch Named MAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

CLEVELAND – Kent State senior Jenna Batsch has been named Mid-American Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
Batsch averaged 29.0 points per game in a pair of victories as the Golden Flashes extended their winning streak to five games. Her 58-point week was highly efficient, as she played just 55 minutes and shot 61.1% from the floor. Batsch scored a career-high 33 points on 13-of-21 shooting during midweek action against Eastern Michigan and followed with 25 points against rival Akron on Saturday.
Kent State returns to action on Wednesday with a road contest against Northern Illinois.
