Larsen Wins MAC Women’s Golfer of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – It was announced on Thursday that Kent State's Gracie Larsen has won the Mid-American Conference Women's Golfer of the Week award. The freshman earns the honor for her performance at the Puerto Rico Classic, where she led the Flashes across three rounds.
Larsen recorded the the best individual score in all three rounds for the Flashes, recording three consecutive rounds of 74 or better. She opened her tournament with a 1-over-par 73 on Sunday, before firing an even-par 72 in round two, the joint-lowest round of her collegiate career. She concluded the event with a 2-over-par 74 in round three to finish at 3-over-par and tied for 32nd among the loaded field of 100 golfers, which included eight teams ranked in the top 30 of Scoreboard's division I women's golf rankings.
Kent State will return to action on February 16, as they take part in the Spartan Suncoast Collegiate Invitational in Sarasota, Florida at Palm Aire Champions Course.
