KENT, Ohio - The Kent State men's golf team gears up for their second tournament in as many weeks as the Flashes return to South Carolina for the Hootie at Bulls Bay. The Flashes finished sixth among a field of 16 at last week's General Hackler Championship.

Notes:
- The Flashes finished sixth of 16 teams competing at last week's General Hackler Championship, concluding the tournament at 3-over-par after 54 holes.
- Kent State has appeared in the Hootie at Bulls Bay every season since 2018, with the exception of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Flashes finished ninth of 15 teams competing at last season's edition of the event. The team's best finish in the tournament was a runner-up finish in their inaugural appearance in 2018.
- The Kent State team lineup is unchanged from the Flashes' previous outing at the General Hackler Championship also in South Carolina last week, where the Flashes finished sixth of 16 in the event won by national no. 1 Auburn.
- Sparked largely by an opening round 68, the Flashes were led at the General Hackler by Isaiah Ibit at 1-over-par, tied for 28th place. Ibit now leads the team with ten rounds in the 60s this season.
- Bryce Reed matched Ibit's low round of the tournament with a 68 in round three of the General Hackler. The senior finished at 2-over-par and tied for 33rd while improving his season total to five rounds in the 60s.
- Jordan Gilkison fired two rounds of even-par last week with a 72 in round one and round three, improving his team-high total of rounds of par or better to 15. He finished tied for 38th at 3-over-par at the General Hackler. Gilkison leads the team with a 70.81 scoring average.
- Nolan Haynes finished tied for 42nd at the General Hackler with a 4-over-par final tally, highlighted by a 70 in round two, the second-best round of the freshman's collegiate career thus far.
- Ramiro Acevedo returns to the Kent State lineup after firing a 71 in the third round of the General Hackler. The freshman finished the event tied for 54th at 7-over-par. He now owns seven rounds of par or better in his inaugural collegiate season.
