
Kent State to Host Case Western on Tuesday

KENT- The Kent State Golden Flashes Baseball team returns to Schoonover Stadium for a midweek matchup with the Case Western Reserve Spartans. First pitch on Tuesday is set for 6 p.m.
The game will be broadcasted on BoxCast with Dane Richardson on the call. Live stats will also be provided.
Last Time Out
The Flashes improve to 4-2 in conference play and clinch their second conference series win of the 2025 season.
The Flashes and Falcons would score in pairs during the first four innings of the game with Bowling Green striking first scoring two in the bottom of the first.
Ripken Reese would get the Flashes on the board in the top of the second with an RBI single through the left side. Brady Marshall would tie the game up just one batter later on an RBI ground out.
Kent State would score two more in the top of the third with a Hunter Klotz RBI double up the left field line and a Reese RBI single but this time he shot it through the right side of the infield.
Bowling Green would respond with two more in the bottom of the third to tie the score up at four runs apiece.
Brody Williams would give the Flashes a 6-4 advantage in the fourth inning with a two-run triple rifled up the left field line.
The Falcons would score one in the sixth and one in the eighth to tie the game up at six as the game entered the ninth inning.
Sawyer Solitaria would play hero in the top of the ninth when he took a 1-0 offering from the Falcon pitcher and parked a three-run homer over the wall in left field. The Freshman continues to swing a hot bat recording his fifth three-RBI game in the last six games.
Bowling Green would get one run in the bottom of the ninth, but it would not be enough as Peyton Cariaco closed the door.

Scouting the Opposition
The Spartans enter Tuesday's contest at 11-6 on the season and are currently ranked 23rd in Division III.
Case Western split a twin bill with John Carroll on Sunday with the Spartans winning the second game by a score of 4-1.
Senior, Nick Harms, leads the Spartans' offense. The outfielder is hitting .388 on the season with 26 hits, 22 RBIs, 23 runs scored. Harms is an extra base hit machine leading the team in doubles (5), triples (4), and tied for second in home runs (5).
On Deck for the Flashes
Kent State will welcome the Toledo Rockets for youth sports weekend Mar. 28-30. The two teams will plat at 3 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and end the week with a 1 p.m. on Sunday.
