CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced on Thursday that Kent State's Veronika Kedronova has been named the conference's golfer of the week. This marks the fourth time this season and the seventh time of her career that Kedronova has received the award.
Kedronova continued a stellar sophomore season at last week's Florida State Match Up, where she finished tied for fifth to record her sixth top-ten finish of the season. After opening the tournament with a 4-over-par 76 in round one, she posted a 3-under-par 69 in round two for her 11th round of par or better this season and the lowest round by a Kent State golfer in the event. Kedronova tallied a 2-over-par 74 in round three to conclude the tournament at 3-over-par.
Kedronova and the Flashes have one tournament remaining, the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational, beginning on April 12, before they defend their MAC Championship and seek 26 straight at Delaware Muncie Club in Muncie, Indiana April 20 through 22.
